Twin Boomerangs, traditionally known in the Broome area as Karli.
The Karli are a musical instrument that are traditionally used by Indigenous Australians from most parts of Australia. The Karli player would make a particular rhythmic sound when clapping the boomerangs together. There are different types of rhythms for different songs, and different clapping rhythms for different sections of particular songs.
These karli are approximately 8 millimeters thick and approximately 58 centremeters long. While these boomerangs are traditional instruments, they are not sold as instruments, but more of a display artifact instead.
They are not for throwing, hunting of any kind or hitting.
